Alexa. What a beautiful soul this one is. The Senior Gods blessed me with this pretty lady and we were able to make magic! Golden light, field romping, almost falling into a lake, rolling in grass, splashing on fishing docks - you name it, we did it. This session is the perfect representation of my senior style. Alexa, you are a doll and I cannot wait to see where that beautiful personality of yours gets you in life! (Andddd I'll be calling about babysitting my boys soon! ;) )
If I were to describe my photographic style to someone I would say … Happy! Real. Bright and colorful. Belly laughs and creative. This girl, well, she embodies all of those things. I had TOO much fun with her, if that’s even possible!
Nicole’s session was a beautiful summer day splashed with gorgeous golden light. I showed her the back of my camera at one point and she said, “Yes! This light! More of this light!” So that’s what we did :) And she looked glorious in it! I didn’t have to convince Nicole into showing her personality and giving me big laughs. Senior Season has been treating me well this year. Navy - although you wouldn’t know it - is NOT a model, but she definitely should be! This pretty’s lady’s good looks aren’t just on the outside. I had too much fun laughing, joking and hanging out with her during our session. When picking sneak peeks for her, it was like choosing my favorite children. I just loved them all!
We started off her session at Italian Lake in Harrisburg and then moved to the Capitol Building. I am so glad we did this because she rocked both of these looks! For the first time this summer I captured real golden light at sunset - that beautiful orange glow right before the sun goes down over the mountains. Enjoy manyyyy favorites from Navy’s session.
This was my second time working with Madison. She came to her session with her own ideas and style and I loved every second of it. For someone who aspires to be a model, Madison is well on her way. She even stepped out in the middle of summer in fur, walked barefoot in a rocky creek and painted her feet - all for the sake of an awesome session. I also pulled my grandparent's chair out of storage for her session (and before anyone asks, NO it is no longer available!! Cool chair but also 23984092384 lbs!!) Enjoy my favorites!
A few years ago I had the privilege of shooting Jessie's older brother's senior portraits and now it's her turn. I've been waiting patiently for Jessie to become a senior because I LOVE her style. We did a few studio shots and then headed to a private residence for the rest of the session. Weather was a little iffy for Jessie's session but the sun would peak out from behind the clouds at the perfect times (likeeee how about these shots of her in the woods with her plaid shirt?!). I love when a girl's beautiful personality can shine through during her session and it sure did for Jessie's. Thanks for being so awesome, Jessie ... you are fierce!!! Enjoy some favs!
Believe it or not, Paige is a 2016 high school senior, not a runway model. Hard to believe, isn't it? Paige is drop dead gorgeous from the inside out. She's the kind of girl I can ask to do anything for her session (like climb around on rocks in a dress or go out on a rickety dock) and she would oblige with a smile on her face. It was too much fun hanging out with her. I must say, her floppy hat shots are a highlight of my summer. Thanks for being so great, Paige! Enjoy my favs!
Okay, so I went a little crazy with this blogpost. This girl had the cutest style and we were able to achieve several different looks. Three things made this session awesome : water, golden hour, belly laughs. Makenna has the best natural smile so I was constantly telling her to make herself laugh :D (awkwarddddd, but she made it happen!) The lighting was pretty inconsistent during her session but then the sun went down and we had the prettiesttt glowing light to end on a good note. Thanks for being so much fun, Makenna! I hope you guys like seniors because we are dead in the middle of senior season! I love Nick's style. Everything from the clothes he wears to the way he carries himself is very unique & interesting. His session was very eclectic from posing with old buildings with neat textures to hanging out in a baseball field during golden hour. I managed to "narrow his gallery down" to 100 pictures -- so I think that speaks for how great this session was. Enjoy some favs!
I had SO much fun with Chelsea! What was supposed to be a half of her senior session turned into a full fledged adventure through the town of Mechanicsburg. She absolutely ROCKED it. I love a girl who can pull off both a serious face & a gorgeous smile--- and it sure helps that she is the sweetest person! I cannot wait to do the second half of her session. Enjoy a few favorites.
The last thing any senior guy wants to do is hang out and cheese for me. Thankfully, Gordon is a great guy and not only dealt with my crazy posing but even smiled at my horrible jokes. Gordon's mom has been my hairdresser for literally my whole life so it was so cool to work with the "little boy" I would see in snapshots hanging on her mirror every time I got hair cut growing up. He's far from that little boy now - just from spending two hours with him I know that Gordon is highly intelligent, passionate & mature for his age. I can't wait to see what he does with his life!
